BENTLY NEVADA Vibration Monitoring

BENTLY NEVADA 3300 Sensor System

Product Introduction

3300 XL 8mm Proximity sensor system
3300 XL 8 mm eddy-current sensor system consists of the following components:
. 3300 XL 8mm Probe
. 3300 XL Extension cables
. 3300 XL Pre-extender
The system outputs a voltage signal proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the surface of the conductor to be measured, and can measure both static (displacement) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system is mainly used for vibration and displacement measurements in plain bearing machinery, as well as key phase Keyphasor* and rotational speed measurements3. The 3300 XL 8mm system is our most advanced eddy-current sensor system. The standard 3300 XL 8mm 5m system is also fully compliant with the American Petroleum Institute (API) 670 Standard (4th Edition) for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8mm eddy-current sensor systems meet this performance standard, and the probes, extension cables, and pre-processors are fully interchangeable, eliminating the need for separate matching components or bench calibration. Each component of the 3300 XL 8mm sensor system is backwards compatible and is interchangeable with other non-XL 3300 Series 5mm and 8mm sensor system components54. For example, when there is not enough space to mount an 8mm probe, a 3300 5mm probe is usually used instead.

Linear range: 2 mm (80 mils) The linear range starts at approximately 0.25 mm (10 mils) from the target surface and ranges from 0.25 to 2.3 mm (10 to 90 mils) (approximately -1 to -17 Vdc).
Recommended gap settings for radial vibration: -9Vdc [approx. 1.27 mm (50 mils)]
